Over the past ten years, the Litchfield Dance Arts Academy (LDAA) has grown from a small Pawleys Island dance school to a continually growing performing arts institution along the South Carolina coast. LDAA, under the guidance of its founder and artistic director, Ilka Doubek, provides top quality dance training for beginners to pre-professional level dance students and continues to enhance the cultural climate in the area through dance performances for the surrounding community of school children and general audience members.
The purpose of Litchfield Dance Arts Academy is to offer top quality dance training in an environment of enrichment and discovery. Mastery of dance skills develops self-confidence, poise, focus and discipline. Whether taking classes for their own enjoyment or planning a future career in dance, our students will gain the knowledge, skills and physical discipline required. The school demands the best from each student, expecting that each one works to his or her highest potential. In return, the school gives the care and attention each student deserves. |
