Don't miss this annual Inlet patriotic tradition!   The 29th Annual July 4th Boat Parade kicks off at high tide from Garden City Point.  This year's parade theme will be announced later this Spring.   The parade will head over to the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk and then follow the Murrells Inlet shoreline down to the Hot Fish Club.  Best public viewing points are the Marshwalk, Belin Methodist Church, Nance's Restaurant, Captain Pooh's Restaurant and the Hot Fish Club.  To register to be in the boat parade, go to Booty's Outdoors, Garden City Reality, or Captain Dick's June 15th through July 3rd.  You can register on July 4th with the committee boat which will be in the water at the Garden City Point at 9am that day.  The Belin United Methodist Boy Scout Troop 396 will be selling the annual Boat Parade t-shirts at Booty's Outdoors, Garden City Realty and Conway National Bank in Murrells Inlet.  Call 357-2007 for more details.

The Murrells Inlet Marshwalk restaurants will light up the skies on the 4th of July with a spectacular fireworks display.  The show, which is shot off from the end of the Veterans Pier, is scheduled to start at 10:00 pm.  Spectators can view the display from the many vantage points off the marsh shoreline, including the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, Belin Methodist Church, Morse Park Landing next to the Hot Fish Club and the Marlin Quay Marina area.  Call 843-357-2007 for more information.  In the rare event of a washout, a fireworks rain date will be announced.
